IAN completed a Bachelor of Science in Podiatry from Curtin University in 1995. He subsequently completed a post-graduate diploma in Podiatry (Curtin University) and a Masters of Medical Science (University of Western Australia) researching the effects of muscle stretching on joint mechanics.
Whilst Ian has been practising privately since 1995 he has also held a variety of other positions.
As Senior Podiatrist for the Peel and Rockingham/Kwinana Health Service a large aspect of his case load focused on diabetic foot disease.
Working as Senior Podiatrist at the Rockingham Early Intervention Centre he dealt exclusively with paediatric foot pathology.
Ian’s expertise in sports medicine was developed as the team consultant podiatrist for the Fremantle Dockers (AFL) football club for over ten years. During this time he has gained a wealth of invaluable experience in lower limb biomechanics and sports medicine and has worked collaboratively with sports medicine experts at the elite level.
Ian has lectured undergraduate podopaediatrics at Curtin University (2001-2004) and postgraduate physiotherapy students through The Centre of Musculoskeletal Studies (UWA) 2010-2016. He is currently an invited presenter to postgraduate Doctor of Podiatric Medicine students in sports podiatry (UWA).
Ian has been an invited speaker for lectures and workshops for Sports Medicine Australia (WA) in foot and lower limb conditions and has presented at State and National podiatry conferences.
He has authored and co-authored peer reviewed international journal publications in the field of foot stress fractures, running economy and arch mechanics during running.
Ian holds memberships with the Australian Podiatry Association, Australasian Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine and Sports Medicine Australia along with International Foot and Ankle Biomechanics.
Ian is a keen recreational runner himself who participates in anything from 5km Park Run, road marathons to 100 mile trail ultramarathons.
Ian currently provides podiatry services for you on a Wednesday and Friday.
JOANNE graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Podiatric Medicine from the University of Western Australia in 2009 and has worked in a variety of settings including Community Health and home visiting services.
Joanne has spent the last ten years working in private practice during which time she has extended her knowledge to offer acupuncture and dry needling as an adjunct to her treatment.
Her professional yet gentle treatment style makes her very popular with her regular patients.
Joanne currently provides podiatry services for you on a Monday and Thursday.
MARIANNE graduated from Western Sydney University with a Bachelor's degree in Podiatric Medicine (Honours) and soon after moved to rural Western Australia.
Whilst working in the Goldfields region Marianne gained experience in a range of environments including private clinics, diabetes-related community care centres, hospital environments and nursing homes.
Marianne has experience in treating a wide variety of foot conditions including ulcers and assisting in post-operation rehabilitation. She has a particular interest in dermatology and rheumatology, and derives satisfaction in treating ingrown toenails.
Marianne is a people person who thoroughly enjoys getting to know her patients.
Marianne currently provides podiatry services for you on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, on Friday mornings and Saturdays.
